Things To Do In July In Hartford

Street festival

While the summer is in full swing, you won’t want to miss a minute of all the fun events being offered in Hartford. Here is a lineup of a few of summer events happening this month in the Hartford area.

Old State House Farmers Market

The state’s oldest farmers market is held each Tuesday and Friday at Connecticut’s Old State House at 800 Main Street. This farmers market was established in 1643 and continues to run and revitalize downtown Hartford still today from June until October. Stop by for locally grown farm fresh produce, prepared and baked goods, fresh flowers and plants, and homemade crafts. The farmers market is held from 11 am until 2 pm and everyone is welcome to attend.

Greater Hartford Festival Of Jazz

The 24th annual Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz is three nights and two days of hot and cool jazz that not only showcases the greatest jazz artists from around the world, but also features dancing, lots of food, dessert and drink vendors, and various arts, crafts and service vendors. This year, the free festival will run from July 17th through the 19th at the Infinity Music Hall & Bistro. Lawn chairs, blankets, kids and even dogs are welcome to this fun-filled annual Hartford event.
